Race day has a way of creating moments worth remembering, and our athletes have been busy making them. Recent races brought fast finishes, podiums, personal milestones, and plenty of reasons to celebrate across the Runcoach community
Community Highlights
- Allie Yamamoto ran a fantastic race at Marin’s Rodeo Valley Trail Race, finishing 2nd in the 8K alongside Twyla. The pair represented the Bay Area Urban Mushers team in style, joined by the extended team for a great finish-line celebration.

- Paul Nolan continued his incredible racing streak at marathon #14, putting together another superb performance at the Sunshine Coast Marathon. Paul finished 6th in his 70–74 age group, a remarkable accomplishment!
- Kate Evanko had an incredible racing double. She started Saturday with a sizzling 6:11 final mile at the Harlem 5K before returning Sunday to take the win at the Staten Island Sprint Triathlon. Kate is looking stronger than ever as she prepares for her ultimate goal: the NYC Marathon.
- Katy Modica ran a brilliant 22:06 at her local 5K, with perhaps the best race-day support of all! A perfectly timed high five from her daughter along the course. Those are the moments we love!
- Jeff Brune kept his winning streak alive at the Nebraska Senior Games, taking first place overall and in his age group in both the 5K and 10K. Next up for Jeff: the Huntsman Senior Games in October. We can’t wait to see what’s next!
- Judi Hayashi had an awesome performance at the Corporate Challenge 1M Race, winning her age group and running her fastest mile since 2022. What a fantastic effort!
- Meg Walsh had a terrific Grete’s Gallop 10K. We even got a glimpse of Meg’s pre-race tradition. She makes sure to snap a photo before every race!
- One of our biggest highlights came from the Nebraska State Fair Half Marathon, where our athlete finished 4th overall out of 254 runners in 1:27:06. He also took 1st Masters, earned an impressive 82.5% age grade, and shattered the 60-64 age-group state record by more than four minutes. The previous record had stood since 2016. An incredible performance!
- Eddie Northen made a quick trip across the pond on his way to the Baystate Marathon, racing a speedy 21.1K through rainy Stockholm. A strong half marathon on tired marathon-training legs is a great way to test the fitness you’ve built. Bra jobbat, Eddie!
- Joseph Lennon stepped back into racing at the Run the Day 10K and promptly won his age group. Looks like you haven’t lost a step, Joseph, and Rocky is certainly proud of you!
